Tobin Scientific holds a special permit from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) that authorizes us to transport certain hazardous materials. In particular:

• Infectious Substances Affecting Animals (UN2900)
• Infectious Substances Affecting Humans (UN2814)
• Biological Substances, Category B (UN3373)

We also can support and provide the following compliant packaging:

• Primary Receptacles**: Cryo-vials with secure threaded caps and silicone washers.
• Secondary Packaging**: Closed boxes suitable for cryogenic storage.
• Outer Packaging**: Portable cryogenic liquid nitrogen refrigerated shippers (Dewar flasks) or liquid nitrogen-cooled freezers, maintaining temperatures between -80°C and -196°C.

Transport is ensured by:

• Dedicated Vehicles: Specially designed refrigerated trucks operated by trained Tobin Scientific personnel.
